VMLY&R China wins pitches for Adidas and Calvin Klein

VMLY&R China announced two business wins that came following pitches in the first quarter of the year, taking on digital duties for Adidas and Calvin Klein.

Work with both brands started this month. In each pitch, VMLY&R won over two unnamed competitors.

VMLY&R became the long-term partner in China for Adidas’ Sport Performance business—a business unit contributing 70% of the brand’s sales. It will provide digital marketing strategy across e-commerce, KOLs and social media.

For Calvin Klein, VMLY&R was named the leading social agency, and will be responsible for digital creativity, social media strategy and global strategy localisation.

The agency said it plans to hire 30 additional employees in the next month. It currently has 450 staff and two offices in China.
