Chris Jaques, CEO of M&C Saatchi Asia, has announced the promotion of Angela Hsu (pictured) to the newly created position of CEO of M&C Saatchi for North & Central China.

Angela has been general manager of the agency’s Shanghai office for the last three years, and recently led the launch of M&C Saatchi Beijing as well as the national launch of M&C Saatchi-i, the agency’s new digital company.

Jaques said: “Angela’s success over the last couple of years has been breathtaking. She grew profits last year by over 200%. She’s built a fantastic team and she never stops winning business."

He added that the agency is now focusing on creating an ‘annoyingly aggressive’ operation throughout China. Hsu will be tasked with transforming their performance in Beijing and Shanghai, and to develop the agency’s presence everywhere between Shanghai and Harbin.

M&C Saatchi recently scooped Yakult's above- and below-the-line account and Brand's InnerShine Berry Essence in China.

M&C Saatchi opened new offices in Beijing, Tokyo and Singapore in 2009, and launched M&C Saatchi-i digital offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Mumbai and Delhi.
