Tequila makes two creative appointments

SINGAPORE - TEQUILA\ Singapore has made two creative appointments, Evelyn Aw as senior copywriter and Jaffry Jalal as senior art director, to further grow the agency in 2012.

With nine years experience in the advertising business, Aw was most recently with WPP Possible. She spent first four years of her advertising experience in traditional advertising, followed by a move into the digital space. She also previously worked at Euro RSCG, BBDO/Proximity, Grey Bates 141 and Saatchi Lab.

Jalal, meanwhile, previously worked at Euro RSCG and Tribal DDB, taking on various positions including art director, developer and experimenter. He has been in the digital industry since 1996.

Brent Farrell, managing director, digital at TEQUILA\ Singapore, said the duo have been successful partners in the past and have now reunited. “They have reunited once again to help us to further deliver on Disruptive thinking this coming year. As individuals, they are extremely talented. As a team, they are truly amazing.”

Commenting on the appointments, Oz Dean, digital creative director at TEQUILA\ Singapore, said, “We have made several key hires at TEQUILA\ over the last six months and this team is an important part of our hiring strategy. Jaffry is a true hybrid digital creative. He is one part art director and one part inventor. Eve is a proven writer, whose ideas are as excellent as her copy. She truly gets digital.”
