STC Associates names Swati Katakam regional director for India

MUMBAI - Global brand management firm STC Associates has appointed former Grey PR Cell VP, Swati Katakam (pictured), as regional director to lead its expansion in India.

Katakam will be responsible for building the organisation across the India market, as well as representing the firm for India clients to help them build their global leadership.

STC Associates’ offices in Mumbai currently provides integrated brand service offerings for Tata Communications and Aurora Integrated Systems.

She will report directly to Sophie Ann Terrisse, CEO of STC Associates, who said: “Katakam’s expertise and drive make her an invaluable asset to our global team. Her appointment affirms our ongoing commitment to invest in this region and in senior resources who will add superior value to our clients' businesses.”

In her former role, Katakam spearheaded several high-profile business wins including the launch of the BlackBerry Bold in India and an education program for girls for Unicef.

She has also worked with clients including Rolex, Spencer’s Retail, CavinKare, MetLife, and the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals, among others.

In July, Bang & Olufsen appointed STC Associates as its public relations partner in Singapore.
