Senior leaders exit FCB India

EXCLUSIVE: Sources tell Campaign India that Abhinav Kaushik, John Thangaraj, and Arijit Sengupta are set to depart from the agency.

Senior leaders exit FCB India

FCB Group India is set to see the departure of three senior executives: Abhinav Kaushik, John Thangaraj, and Arijit Sengupta, who held the positions of president, group chief strategy officer, and executive creative director, respectively.

Sources close to the development confirmed to Campaign India that Kaushik, who joined the agency two years ago, has tendered his resignation, and is currently serving his notice period—due to leave the company in two weeks.

Kaushik's previous experience includes a role as executive vice president at Taproot Dentsu India, as well as positions at JWT India, M&C Saatchi London, and Contract Advertising. He has worked across various domains, including education, FMCG, fashion, retail, and news media. With 24 years in the advertising industry, Kaushik brings extensive expertise in P&L management, account management, strategic planning, sales, brand management, and positioning.

Additionally, Campaign India has learned from sources that Thangaraj, after an eight-year tenure with FCB India, resigned in early May. He will remain with the company until July.

Thangaraj joined FCB India as executive planning director in 2016 and was recently promoted to a group mandate position just over a year ago. His prior roles include stints at Mindshare, MullenLowe Lintas, and Rediffusion Y&R, following his time on the client side at Adidas.

Finally, Sengupta, who has been with FCB India for seven years, is also due to leave according to sources. He has been on his notice period since February and will leave the company in June. Sengupta's two-decade career in advertising includes roles at JWT India, Leo Burnett, and Bates 141.

The future plans of Kaushik, Thangaraj, and Sengupta remain unconfirmed at this time.

Campaign has reached out to FCB for comment. More as the story develops.
