The appointment was made following a government tender process which saw up to four agencies respond to the brief when it was first pitched earlier this year.

Saatchi Lab will take on marketing communications for a public education campaign that is centred on public transportation to promote the city-state’s bus and MRT services.

Separately, the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry that promotes effective competition in the energy market and a dynamic energy sector, has appointed Saatchi Lab to undertake its employer branding and HR recruitment advertising drive for the coming year.

The government account wins follow a series of new accounts for the agency which includes briefs from the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA), MDIS, NERA Telecommunications and City Square Mall.

On the account wins, Lionel Goh (pictured), general manager of Saatchi Lab, noted: "While 2009 was very challenging for the agency, the dedication of the staff and our commitment to delivering work that makes business sense has allowed us to reinforce our relationships with key clients”.
