Min Chang named Asia-Pacific president of Omnicom's Diversified Agency Services

Chang succeeds Simon Dalby who, after 28 years with Omnicom agencies, of which 10 have been with DAS in Asia, has decided it's "time for a change". He will stay on next year to work with Chang, helping her transition into her role and at the same time, increasingly concentrate on talent development.

Chang will be moving to China this year and will report to Dale Adams, DAS President and CEO.

DAS is a division of Omnicom Group that manages its holdings across a range of marketing disciplines including customer relationship management, public relations and specialty communications. The 190 companies under its umbrella include DDB Health, Fleishman Hillard and Interbrand.

In her new role, Chang will be tasked with facilitating innovation and collaboration across the network's marketing agencies, with the goal of providing fully integrated solutions to clients in the region. She will work closely with the agencies to develop new capabilities and cultivate client relationships.

“Asia Pacific is a focal point for growth across all of the DAS companies and we are committed to resourcing it with the sharpest talent," said DAS president and CEO Dale Adams.

"[Dalby] has done a tremendous job energising and uniting our network and we thank him for establishing such a solid foundation in Asia Pacific,” said Adams adding that Chang's entrepreneurial drive and acumen suit the network's future plans.

Chang first joined DAS in 2007 as vice-president of operations, was promoted to senior vice-president in 2010 and in May 2011 assumed her current post. She has worked in the US and Europe and prior to joining Omnicom, led the procurement organisation at Honeywell International. Over the course of her career she has held various global leadership roles with Proctor & Gamble, American Express and United Technologies.

Update: An earlier version of this article described DDB, TBWA and BBDO as under the DAS umbrella, that was inaccurate as only certain affiliates and specialty divisions of these agencies fall under DAS. The article was also updated to include more details in Min Chang's appointment.
