McCann Worldgroup names planning head for Singapore

SINGAPORE - McCann Worldgroup has hired DDB Shanghai's regional planning director, Andrew Leong (pictured), as head of brand and engagement planning for Singapore.

He replaces Subodh Deshpande and will report directly to Mark Ingrouille, region director Southeast Asia, McCann Worldgroup, who is also CEO for McCann Worldgroup Singapore.

Ingrouille said: “Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience managing and building leading international and Asian brands in Malaysia, Singapore, China and across the region. We look forward to him driving the critically important planning department for our Singapore group.”

Leong added: “I was drawn towards the prospect of working closely with McCann’s list of blue chip brands and sterling client portfolio; and I am looking forward to contributing towards some great upcoming communication campaigns.”

At DDB Shanghai, Leong worked on the Neutrogena and Clean & Clear brands. He has over 15 years of agency experience in both account management and planning. 

He had also spent time at Leo Burnett Malaysia, BBDO Malaysia/Singapore, and Naga DDB Malaysia where he was general manager.
