Chinese automobile brand Chery calls creative pitch

ANHUI - Anhui-based Chinese automobile brand Chery, one of the largest auto manufacturers and exporters in China, is searching for a creative agency in the Mainland.

Chinese automobile brand Chery calls creative pitch

Chery currently works with Taiwanese agency Ideology Advertising. The car brand has reportedly already approached a number of 4A agencies.

According to a Shanghai-based agency boss, "Chery calls a pitch for almost every single campaign. It is no surprise that they are looking for a creative agency."

He added that Chery split its operation into four brands three years ago and might be on the lookout for different agencies to work on different brands.

An anonymous 4A agency head confirmed the pitch but said his agency decided to turn down the opportunity.

According to local news reports, Chery released its first 100 per cent electrical vehicle Riich M1-EV and S18D at the 25th World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition held in Shenzhen earlier this month.

This marks the car brand's entry into the new-energy vehicle market.
