Y&R Asia announces new structure in Indochina

SINGAPORE - Y&R Asia has announced a new structure across Indochina which sees Thailand CEO Sanjay Bhasin take on additional responsibility as CEO of Y&R Indochina.

Y&R is looking to consolidate its strengths in the Indochina region and provide the necessary infrastructure and leadership needed to maximise regional business opportunities and existing synergies across Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Business strategy in Indochina will be led by Bhasin from Y&R Asia’s Bangkok office, and will include a particular focus on developing and growing the Y&R retail business across the region.  
 
Commenting on the announcement, Matthew Godfrey, president of Y&R Asia, said, “Indochina, and especially Vietnam, is seeing above 30 per cent growth in many categories and Y&R plans to increase its focus on this N11 market to help our clients capture leadership status there. The strength and scale of our Bangkok office combined with Sanjay’s leadership skills make it an ideal place for a hub.”
 
David Sable, global CEO of Y&R, said, “I have known Sanjay for many years and have complete confidence in him successfully leading the development and growth of this new structure in Asia.”
 
Bhasin added that he is very enthusiastic about this role and the agency’s ability to provide clients with multi-market solutions, expand its business and drive the creative momentum it has had through Indochina. “We will build strong local operations with local talent following the successful model in Thailand.”
