Jaffe will be responsible for developing a full public affairs practice for Southeast Asia and Australia, while overseeing certain multi-country assignments from Singapore.

Meanwhile, Tokyo senior vice-president Robert Magyar is to join the corporate affairs team in Beijing.

Tim Sutton, the firm’s Asia-Pacific chairman, said in a statement that the continuing merger of traditional public affairs and issues management with online reputation and brand development strategies presented the right conditions for the move.

“The more we can share experience and expertise across markets and cultures, the better our network becomes,” he added.
