Walter Jennings rejoins Kreab Gavin Anderson as partner

HONG KONG - Walter Jennings, most recently senior vice president and general manager of Fleishman-Hillard Sydney, is relocating back to Hong Kong to join Kreab Gavin Anderson (KGA) as partner.

Jennings is a US citizen with an extensive public relations career gained in Australia, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, China and the US. He has extensive experience in profit and loss management across multiple offices, investor relations, financial services and corporate communications. 



Along with his Fleishman-Hillard role,  Jennings also had a stint as managing director of Burson-Marsteller Australia.

While in his home turf in the US, He was executive vice president of corporate relations North America for GCI Group, and vice president of global communications for Ford Motor Credit Company.

Back in the 90s, he was CEO of Gavin Anderson in Hong Kong from 1996 to 1999. Kreab Group and Gavin Anderson were merged in 2009 to create a worldwide strategic communications consultancy.

Jennings said working in Hong Kong was a highlight in his career, with many long term relationships still active. He says he is looking forward to further developing the KGA business in corporate communications, financial services marketing and business-to-business social media. 

Joining with Jennings is Vivian Au who also came on board as a director in early January. Au has expertise in public affairs with a special focus on managing policies and regulations. 

Prior to joining KGA, Au was the corporate and regulatory affairs manager at British American Tobacco covering Hong Kong and Macau, while also taking an advisory role on regulatory management projects for Taiwan and Mainland China.

During her tenure with one of the most heavily regulated industries in the world, Vivian designed and executed lobbying campaigns in relation to tobacco control policies and legislative amendments in Hong Kong and Macau.

Au started her career with Burson-Marsteller in Hong Kong as a core member of the company’s public affairs practice. Her portfolio included such clients as Philip Morris Asia, Hong Kong Jockey Club, Ferrero, and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.
