Unilever has launched a pitch for its US$39.5 million media business, after it ended its decade-long relationship with Universal McCann. This move is believed to come after UM’s win of the (US$49.4 million consolidated L'Oreal account last month.
Unilever and L’Oreal are competitors in several categories, such as hair and skin care.
PHD, Mindshare and Initiative are pitching for the business this month. Unilever is expected to make a decision on its new media partner in the first quarter of next year.
