SINGAPORE - Singapore Press Holdings' subsidiary SPH Search has launched contextual advertising network, Rednano CAN, through a partnership between its local search and directory engine rednano.sg and premium business sites.

Singapore Press Holdings expands advertising opportunities for businesses
Rednano CAN is a 'Contextual Advertising Network' offering advertisers the opportunity to target readers according to the online content they are searching for across a network of partner sites. It is a single entry point to reach the online audience they seek via contextual ads. As a result, the advertisements shown to readers are more relevant and therefore more likely to result in a purchase.

Paul Jansen, CEO of SPH Search, said: ”Rednano CAN is an alliance of premium partners. They have websites with high quality traffic and by linking them together, Rednano CAN can now offer companies a simple way of advertising in the pages of trusted publishers.”

The network of publishers are carefully selected and include ERA, IP Mirror, iCell Network, SingaporeSights.com, FotoHub, Neuglow, BluePrint Media, SPH Magazines and SPH. Together they have over 100 million page views a month.

Leslie Fong, senior executive vice-president of SPH's marketing division, said: “The contextual ad network by Rednano complements the AsiaOne display ad network. Together they offer more choices for advertisers online."

According to Fong this offering strengthens the company's integrated solution for advertisers which covers the whole spectrum from print to outdoor to radio to the Internet.

In March 2008, Rednano.sg redesigned its website and rolled out a new advertising network.
