Kwong will work closely together with CH Yang, MD of Publicis Guangzhou and Shanghai, and Rayne Chow, GM of Publicis Beijing.
Jeng, who spent four years at Publicis China and 12 years in total with the Publicis Groupe, said she would continue working in the creative industry when she returns to Taiwan.
"I have a strong bond with Publicis. They have been quite entrepreneurial in relocating someone with a creative background to lead Publicis China. I feel content that my departure comes when the agency is in a healthy business situation with sustained growth," Jeng said.
Jeng first joined D'Arcy Taiwan (which was later acquired by Publicis Groupe) in June 1998 as ECD and became MD in 2000.
She played a key role in the transformation of D'Arcy into what became Publicis Taiwan where she was promoted to CEO in 2002, and won Agency of the Year twice. In 2006, she moved to Shanghai as CEO of Publicis China.
"Sheena re-invented Publicis in China to become one of the leading 4A agencies in the market. She has been highly recognised by our industry and peers not only for her being a great manager and an award-winning creative, but also an extraordinary woman," said Kwong.
"I want to take this opportunity to thank Sheena for her incredible contributions not only to the company but also to the China advertising industry in general."
