SINGAPORE - Ogilvy & Mather Philippines has announced the appointment of Eric Yeo as group executive creative director, effective October this year.

Currently a creative director with Ogilvy Singapore, Yeo’s new role will see him working closely with Randy Aquino, head of country, Ogilvy Philippines, to develop and implement the agency’s creative agenda.

Aquino says Yeo already has a good chemistry with the Philippines creative team, having worked with them before.

“Not only is Eric a multi-awarded and seasoned creative director, he also has the perfect combination of Asian cultural sensibilities and international standards. As a creative leader, Eric is a very nurturing person who is selfless when it comes to sharing his ideas and experience and relentless in his pursuit for creative excellence,” said Aquino.

Company says Yeo’s appointment as group ECD finally completes the creative management restructuring of Ogilvy Philippines.

Yeo heads a team of creative leads across the Ogilvy Philippines Group: Mike Sicam, creative director for OgilvyOne; Alnair Langkay, creative director for RedWorks; and Gerry Cacanindin and Lito Gemora, creative directors for O&M Advertising.

He will oversee the creative output for the agency’s clients across the disciplines, such as Unilever, Kraft Johnson & Johnson, KFC, Nike and Nestle.

An Ogilvy veteran, Yeo’s award haul includes a recent Yellow Pencil for his work for Faber Castell at this year’s D&AD.
