MobiFone selects TBWA\Vietnam as agency of record

HO CHI MINH CITY - MobiFone, one of the largest mobile services operators in the country, has named TBWA\Vietnam as its agency of record.

The appointment came after a lengthy pitch that began at the end of 2011. TBWA Group has been working with the telco brand, as Biz Tequila is currently one of MobiFone’s events and activation partners in Vietnam.

Nguyen Dinh Chien, deputy general manager at MobiFone, noted that the agency has demonstrated the strategic and creative capability that it believes will support its growth in the future.

Meanwhile, George Nguyen, managing director at TBWA\Vietnam, told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the agency has also been involved in the BTL and social media works for MobiFone.

“We are very excited to extend our relationship with MobiFone and look forward to continuing to help them grow in market,” he added.

Ha Phan Bich, president of the TBWA\Group in Vietnam, said, “MobiFone is the most highly regarded telecommunications company in Vietnam. We’re honoured to have been selected and look forward to a long, successful partnership.”
