McCann Worldgroup clinches BIG CBS media account in India

NEW DELHI - McCann Worldgroup has clinched the coveted media deal for BIG CBS, a joint venture between Reliance Broadcast Network and CBS Studios.

McCann Worldgroup has won the BIG CBS account in India following a multi-agency pitch.

BIG CBS is a joint venture between Reliance Broadcast Network and CBS Studios International. Current plans for the venture include the launch of three channels in the English GEC space.

Responding to the win, Prasoon Joshi, executive chairman and regional ECD Asia Pacific of McCann Worldgroup, said, "We are excited to partner with two huge names in entertainment - BIG and CBS. We are certain that with McCann's experience in handling media brands, BIG CBS will be in good hands."

The business will be led by Parvathy Nair and ECD’s Akshay Kapnadak and Rahul Mathew.

BIG CBS's Aparna Pandey commented, "BIG CBS is the launch of one of the biggest brands in television. In McCann we found a partner who displayed great understanding of our consumers and showcased work that gives us tremendous faith in their ability to do a great job of managing the brand communication. We look forward to working with them and developing a launch campaign that sets the tone for BIG CBS in India."
