Lee was previously GM of M&C Saatchi Guangzhou for a year. The agency was closed down earlier this year and Hong Kong CEO Yvonne Lo resigning last month.

Lee’s appointment at Publicis Guangzhou follows the departure of SC Low, its ex-GM and creative leader, at the end of last year. Low went on to become managing director at China venture capital and private equity company XiHu Capital.

Lee will report to CH Yang, MD of Publicis Guangzhou and Shanghai. In his new role, one of Lee's job requirements is to expand its client portfolio, which in the past has been heavily focused on property clients.

With 14 years advertising experience in China, especially in Guangzhou, Lee previously worked for Saatchi & Saatchi Guangzhou for six years, and Euro RSCG before that.

Reported last March, Sheena Jeng, former Publicis China CEO, returned to her native country Taiwan to become the co-president and chief creative officer of DDB.
