Heilpern will report to Karl Cluck, managing director of Mindshare Beijing.
Prior to his return, Heilpern was North Asia business director for digital and integrated at Euro RSCG Tokyo.
An American advertising veteran with 20 years' marketing experience, Heilpern has been working in the APAC region across global brands, including IBM, Google, Intel, American Express, British Airways and Emirates, since the late 80s.
Reported in January, Mindshare Beijing promoted Asmita Dubey as MD on the L'Oreal business, which the agency won from Optimedia in October, with Daniel Koh joining as general manager on the account. In addition, former Dell.com GM Pete Wong has been appointed as head of digital for Mindshare China.
