Initiative wins China Telecom brief

ASIA-PACIFIC - The Fujian branch of China Telecom has awarded IPG media agency Initiative its activation business for new 3G brand Tianyi.

Initiative wins China Telecom brief
The award followed a five-way pitch that involved four local agencies, including incumbent China Xiamen Biajie Advertising.

It is thought to be the first time the Fujian branch of the business will work with a 4As agency on a campaign.

China Telecom adds to Initiative’s newly bolstered client roster, which includes the planning account for Sanitarium, Australia’s largest health food company and breakfast cereal manufacturer, also awarded this month.

For Sanitarium, Initiative will act as the company’s agency-of-record for strategic planning, responsibilities previously held by Bellamy Hayden. Initiative already handles Sanitarium’s media buying.

Also this month, Indonesian milk and baby food producer Pt. Sanghyang Perkasa – Kalbe Nutritionals appointed Initiative as its planning and buying agency-of-record.
