A daily dose of positivity, it is a news spot dedicated to encourage happy news, with a series of personal anecdotes introducing listeners to one-minute tales of positivity.

To run for 13 weeks, the ‘Good News’ Minute read by the radio’s news reader is heard before a local 8am news bulletin.

Peter de Kretser, COO of GO Communications, said, “The campaign was conceptualised to give people a positive start to the day by presenting a series of heart-warming and profound personal anecdotes through radio.”

Since its launch in 16 April, among the stories aired was that of Sally Bridges from McKinley High School in Australia. An outcast but gifted with the ability to sing, a fellow student persuaded her to sing at a school party, causing her to break out of her shell and go on to fame and fortune as a recording artist.

The Good News Minute also contains a contest element, with Hard Rock Hotel Bali merchandise up for grabs. The grand prize, which will be announced at the end of the campaign, is a trip for two to Hard Rock Hotel Bali.
