GUANGZHOU - Guangzhou Rural Commercial Bank has called a creative and strategic agency pitch, according to industry insiders.

Established in 1951, the state-owned bank got its current name after a brand revamp last year. Most of its clients are from the surrounding Pearl River Delta.

According to its official website, the bank ranks in 22nd place in China's banking sector.

"The client is keen to enlist a big ad agency to enhance their brand profile and image in the national and international financial arena," said an agency veteran on the condition of anonimity.
