Former BBDO Taiwan executives launch start-up agency

TAIPEI - Former BBDO Taiwan executives and ad industry veterans Vincent Wu, Andy Lee, Longer Lee and Jeff Fan have launched Millennium Advertising, a new start-up agency based in Taiwan.

Wu assumes the position of deputy GM, Lee is the creative director, and Longer and Fan are the account directors. The agency launches with clients including Hotel Royal Group, Test Rite Group and Shung Yi Trading (Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Taiwan distributor).

Millennium Advertising will offer a flexible agency structure that provides below-the-line and retail capabilities to clients.

The eight-person team has experience in sales channel marketing including POSM and 3D display creative services and trade activities (event, CRM and dealer relationships).

"These services help clients close the deal in the last mile of the consumer journey. To strengthen  brand recognition and image for clients, Millennium Ad provides advanced CIS planning and implementation services," added Wu.

Wu previously worked at BBDO Taiwan, Euro RSCG Taipei, Y&R Taiwan and United Advertising.  He has a diverse client portfolio including Mercedes Benz, Watsons, HP, Gillette, PepsiCo Food, ABN ARMO  Bank, Microsoft and Colgate/ Palmolive.

Lee is a communications veteran with over 20 years' experience across above-the-line and below-the-line practices.  Fan has over 25 years experience in advertising and trade marketing. As account directors at BBDO Taiwan both have worked on clients including Mao Bao household detergent, Mitsubishi, Zero Pain of Tong Fa, Japan Tobacco International and Shung Ye Group.

Both Fan and Lee established the Harvest agency in the 1980s, which was acquired by BBDO in 2003.

Lee is a seasoned and award-winning design talent specialising in visual arts and below-the-line POSM development. His client portfolio includes Unilever, Uni-president, Japan Tobacco International (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan,) Visa, Far EasTone Telecommunications, Cathay United Bank and Rivon bakery.
