Slotnick will be responsible for strengthening Edelman's healthcare offering in the mainland, building stronger ties with Edelman's global health network, and supporting multinational healthcare companies that are seeking to grow their business in the world's largest consumer market.

Prior to this role, she spent seven years in Edelman's New York office holding roles in the agency's health and corporate & public affairs practices. Slotnick's most recent role was leading internal and external corporate communications efforts for global pharmaceutical firms in emerging markets. Other areas she has covered are access and reimbursement and disease awareness in the US.

Nancy Turett, global president, health, at Edelman explained that appointing Slotnick to the role in China was a key part of the agency's strategy to provide clients in the country with high quality health counsel and services.

“Rebecca will help bridge our in-market and global networks to provide our healthcare clients with programming that integrates digital, influencer relations, government and community engagement — in addition to corporate and product branding,” added Mark Hass, president, Edelman China.
