Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has appointed Dick Van Motman as global CEO for creative and Gordon Bowen as global chief creative officer.

Van Motman, currently global president of Dentsu Brand Agencies based in Singapore, will have a remit to "develop and grow the creative proposition for Dentsu Aegis Network globally", according to the company. In doing so, he will work with Bowen, who will continue as chairman of Mcgarrybowen while taking on the global CCO role. Bowen will drive the overall quality of Dentsu Aegis’ creative output, the company said.

Van Motman will remain based in Singapore.

These two creative roles are also additions to the global executive team, joining executives representing media, performance, CRM, loyalty, customer experience and commerce.

In addition, DAN has made two further appointments, which it says are focused on driving operational excellence and closer working relationships with Dentsu Inc:

  • Nicholas Rey takes on the new role of chief network development officer. This move follows the January appointment of Volker Doberanzke as global president, DAN Business Operations.
  • So Aoki becomes the new chief corporate planning officer, working to "define and deliver the strategic direction of the business".

All four roles will report directly to Tim Andree, executive chairman and CEO.

“These important appointments to our executive team will drive even greater connection for our clients to the full spread of our world-class capabilities," Andree said in a release. "Clients want to work with agencies who provide outstanding, consistent services that can be integrated on a global basis and this announcement is an pivotal step to organizing our business around those priorities."
