The appointment was made without a pitch, and Amsterdam Worldwide, which has previously worked with Pernold Ricard on its Ararat brandy activity, will now work on a series of integrated advertising campaigns that promote Olmeca.
M&C Saatchi Paris previously worked on Olmeca's ad business and, earlier this year, Pernod Ricard appointed the digital agency Holler to develop an interactive campaign for the brand, which included the creation of film content and video podcasts that were aired on Olmeca's website.
Michael Kaller, the international marketing director for Pernod Ricard's Casa Pedro Domecq division, said, "We have appointed Amsterdam Worldwide because of its strategic insight into our brand, its proven experience in building brands across borders and its refreshing hype-free dedication to our growth."
