Mind your English, Rooster of Destiny

Webe, the mobile line of Malaysian telco giant TM Group, plans to usher in the Chinese New Year with a cocky talking rooster.

One day, Ad Nut hopes that brands will stop using bad English to get easy laughs. Yes, use of slang can appeal to a local audience. But too much deliberately poor English is not funny for anyone, rooster or human or woodland creature.

Ad Nut recommends that the Rooster of Destiny brush up on his English, if necessary, before he goes live on the eve of Chinese New Year to give out advice to netizens. Or the chickens will come home to roost.
