DiGi celebrates Internet craziness

KUALA LUMPUR - DiGi Malaysia has launched a campaign, entitled ‘Gila about Internet’ (Crazy about Internet), through Naga DDB.

The campaign, which focuses on the theme ‘crazy’, runs on print, radio and social media. This campaign takes the people, who take their passion for internet and social media, to comic extremes.

Sulin Lau, head of marketing services at DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, said, “This campaign speaks to anyone and everyone who has ever been so preoccupied with the internet; they leave a trail of burnt food, neglected spouses and dropped objects in their wake.”

While the print and radio advertisements involve the usual direct selling, the campaign also features interactive choose-your-own-ending minisodes to engage with internet users.

The introduction clip shows Channel V VJ Jonathan Putra, chilling at home while surfing the internet. That is until an unexpected visitor turns up from the nether world, causing the man to run, scream and survive the whole night.

At the end of the introduction clip, internet users are given two choices that lead them to different clips. The full series of a story will have a total of three clips.
