HONG KONG - Yvonne Ho (pictured) has joined McCann Erickson Guangming Hong Kong as project consultant effective immediately.

Her full-time role focuses on projects rather than specific clients.

Ho was most recently the executive producer of Visual Image Creative Studio, under director Zhang Yimou, for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics. She also helped Zhang put together the promotion video for Shanghai’s bid for World Expo 2010, which they won.

A media veteran with more than 20 years in television production, Ho’s experiences include head of television production at People & Grey, Bates, DDB Needham and Leo Burnett Greater China.

"With Ho's valuable and diverse experience, McCann Hong Kong is now prepared to venture into more interesting territories such as collaborations with different international artists and event productions,” said Spencer Wong, managing director and executive creative director of McCann Erickson Guangming.

“Instead of just waiting for clients to give us projects, we want to take a more proactive approach for some big events or projects, then invite clients to become involved for sponsorship,” he added.
