Both roles are effective immediately, report to Faggianelli and will complement the existing regional organisation in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Previously CEO of Agenda Asia, Steve Hsia takes on the role of chief operating officer at Wunderman Asia-Pacific, based in Kuala Lumpur. He will be responsible for overseeing the development of Wunderman and Agenda operations across Greater China and Southeast Asia.
Eric Ng, previously chief innovation officer at Agenda Asia, also joins the regional team as chief client officer, based in Hong Kong. In his new role, Ng will focus on growing regional clients out of Greater China and reinforcing social media and e-commerce capabilities across the region.
According to Faggianelli, Wunderman quadrupled its scale and presence with more than 45 per cent revenue growth across Asia-Pacific in 2010. The agency's client portfolio includes Colgate, Disneyland, Ford, Land Rover, L’Oreal, Microsoft, Nokia, Starbucks and Xbox.
“With such a strong growth despite the recession and the successful integration of Agenda within the Wunderman network, it is now a strategic time to scale up our regional organisation. Asia-Pacific is a priority region and we have aggressive plans to further expand our teams and capabilities,” said Faggianelli.
“Asia is noteworthy because it’s a microcosm of the Wunderman value proposition," added Daniel Morel, chairman and CEO of Wunderman. "This new organisation structure across the region is a strong catalyst for future growth, particularly in the areas of digital marketing and analytics. It also demonstrates the value of strategic investment in digital agencies such as Agenda.”
