WE started working with HKEdCity in 2008 on a project basis, including the Teaching Resources Award Scheme, Online Question Bank and an anti-drug website promotion.
With the new retainer, WE will be responsible for providing strategic communications counseling, media relations and stakeholder engagement. The agency will also support HKEdCity in major events including Learning and Teaching Expo 2011 and Teaching Resources Award Scheme 2011.
HKEdCity is the special administrative region's largest, one-stop, professional educational portal that incorporates information, resources, interactive communities and online services. In addition, it promotes the use of information technology in improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
"With HKedCity on board, we have firmly established our presence as a leader in serving Hong Kong's education and public sector," commented Winnie Lai, vice-president for the Greater China region at WE.
"Having worked with them on a number of important projects over the past three years, we have developed unique insight on their corporate objectives and communication needs. Our storytelling and influential engagement expertise ensures we can communicate HKEdCity's story with maximum influence, making a real difference in the public's understanding of the tremendous value HKEdCity has to offer."
WE also counts the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company among its clients in the public sector.
