Leonard Wong, network development director, will take the post of region management director from Daniel Tan, who successfully underwemt the programme and was selected to join an international project team.

With more than 25 years of experience in the automotive business in Asia, Wong was previously the director of retail management with Volkswagen (China) Import Co Ltd.

Managing director Ricky Tay will assume the post of network development director temporarily. “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Daniel Tan on this career development. We are sad to let him go but I believe this is a good opportunity for him to move ahead. He has done a good job in contributing to the development of the brand and company in Malaysia and it is time for him to move on to another role within Volkswagen.”

“Leonard Wong’s contribution in the network development of dealers under the Volkswagen brand is highly valued and I am confident he will repeat his exemplary performance at his new region management portfolio,” said Tay.
