VisionChina handed new contract for TV ad sales for Beijing subway

BEIJING – Beijing Media and Culture Group has appointed VisionChina Media to be the exclusive advertising agent for its Beijing subway mobile TV screens for the next five years.

The contract covers all the TV screens currently installed on trains and platforms on all exisiting lines in Beijing's subway system, which serves an estimated 11 million passengers every day.

VisionChina acquired its competitor Digital Media Group in October. Its mobile television advertising network now covers buses in 18 cities and subways in eight cities.

In late June, Hong Kong MTR also appointed VisionChina for ad sales in Shenzhen.
