TAIPEI - Taiwan Sakura Cooperation, the leading water heater, range hood and kitchen furniture brand in Taiwan, is calling a pitch for its creative duties, scheduled in March.

At least two agencies, including incumbent JWT and BBDO have been invited. JWT produced Sakura's recent TVC titled 'Free life time oil filter home delivery service'.

Sakura bought rival brand Topax in March 2009 and subsequently became its main stockholder.

According to an industry insider, many consumers are not aware of that, and Sakura seems not to want people to know either. "It might be their brand strategy to maximize market share," he said.
