S&W calls regional pitch

SINGAPORE - S&W, a canned fruit and vegetable brand owned by Del Monte, has called a regional pitch involving three agencies.

The invited agencies are believed to include Ogilvy & Mather and TBWA. 

According to sources, the brand is seeking to step up its marketing activity in Asia.

Judy Lee from Del Monte Pacific’s marketing division declined to comment.

S&W was acquired by Del Monte in the US in 2001, and Del Monte Pacific now owns the S&W trademark globally except for the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. The S&W brand originated in the US in 1896 and is known for its premium canned fruit and vegetable products.
