Kuok came on board yesterday, bringing with her close to 20 years of media experience. She reports directly to Bertilla Teo, CEO of Greater China at Starcom MediaVest Group.

A former partner of client leadership at Mindshare Hong Kong where she resigned last month after five years, Kuok managed a team of 15 staff in leading the development of strategic communication strategies, as well as running global and local client accounts for blue chip clients including HSBC, Lane Crawford, Prada and Hong Kong Disneyland.

Prior to Mindshare, Kuok was at Universal McCann for six years - the first three in Hong Kong where she developed and managed campaigns for international clients like AMD, Cathay Pacific and Marriott International Hotels and Resorts, and the next three based in Beijing as its business director, supervising a team of 33 in charge of blue chip clients such as Mastercard, Microsoft, Tiffany and Intel.

"Doris joins the SMG tribe with extensive regional and local expertise under her belt, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her," said Teo. "A strategic thinker with a clear vision, I am confident that what she’ll bring to the table will reinforce and strengthen our operations in Hong Kong, fortifying our position as a human experience company."

Kuok’s appointment follows several major senior management changes at Starcom, including chief digital officer Pushkar Sane's resignation reported earlier this week and Andrew Wong's appointment as digital director in Hong Kong, and Guangzhou MD for P&G Mabel Leung's departure following the completion of her two-year contract in August last year.
