Roebuck relocates to Singapore in January 2011, replacing Dean Taylor, who resigned from Saatchis at the end of July this year. He subsequently set up independent shop Contagion in his native New Zealand.
BBDO Guerrero has launched the search for Roebuck's replacement, who was its CEO for the past six years.
The agency's chairman and chief creative officer David Guerrero described Paul as a hard act to follow. "But we're lucky enough to have talked to some outstanding candidates in the past few weeks and are taking things further with a select few of them," he said.
Guerrero added that the agency is looking both within the BBDO network and wider afield, saying they will not be rushing into a new hire.
“We feel it's much more important to get the succession done right rather than quickly. Our ambition is to give our clients the best integrated campaigns in the market. And Paul’s successor will be expected to lead the way for the industry,” he commented.
Roebuck will be at the agency until mid- to end-January 2011.
BBDO Guerreo's core management team, led by general manager Francine Kahn Gonzales will run the agency during the transition period.
