Ronald Ng heads to BBDO New York; Mun Tuck Wai becomes ECD in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - Ronald Ng (pictured), the chief creative officer of BBDO/Proximity Malaysia, is moving to New York as executive vice-president and ECD at BBDO New York.

Mun Tuck Wai, currently executive creative director at BBDO Malaysia, will assume full responsibility as the creative leader of BBDO/Proximity Malaysia, effective 1 December, 2009.

Jennifer Chan, group chief executive of BBDO/Proximity Malaysia, said, “I am looking forward to see the agency grow to new heights under Mun's leadership. Mun has been groomed for this role since he joined us three years ago. He has earned the respect of our teams and our clients. I feel extraordinarily positive about these moves.”

Chris Thomas, chairman and CEO of BBDO Asia said that BBDO/Proximity Malaysia, has been “a breeding ground for talent that, over the past five years, has supplied some of the best senior managers across Asia.”

Ng joined BBDO Malaysia in 2004 and helped the agency to improve its creative output.

Ng said that he was looking forward to “stepping into the most exciting episode” of his life”.

BBDO/Proximity had promoted Ng and Wai in new roles in February this year.
