Pulse Foundation sets up donation system to help Japan quake victims

KUALA LUMPUR – Pulse Foundation, the charitable division of digital research agency Pulse Group, has set up an initiative to enable donations to Japan in the wake of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

Pulse Foundation sets up donation system to help Japan quake victims

Members of Planet Pulse, an online panel spanning Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, can donate to the American Red Cross via the Pulse Foundation using ‘pulses’, the electronic currency awarded for completed surveys, credit card or PayPal. The collected funds will support relief efforts to help those affected by the disaster.

The donations will be facilitated by the foundation’s technology partner Ammado, which connects members from 130 countries and more than 4,000 non-profit organisations.

“As a socially responsible corporate citizen and as part of our continued efforts in contributing to communities in need, we urge our Planet Pulse members and the public to donate as much as they can towards providing the necessary aid for this humanitarian disaster,” said Bob Chua, chief executive of Pulse Group, in a statement.

Contributions to the cause can be made directly at Pulse-foundation.org
