Publicis appoints business director for Citibank

SINGAPORE - Publicis has appointed James McDonald as regional business director for Citibank.

Based in Singapore, McDonald will be looking after the local and the regional business on the bank.

McDonald was previously with the STW group in Sydney for three years working as business director on Commonwealth Bank and Vodafone. Prior to this he has worked with IdeaWorks (a Y&R agency) and Publicis Mojo Brisbane.

In his 17-year career McDonald has worked on brands such as Heron Pharmaceuticals, Vodafone, Cadbury and Bank of Queensland.

McDonald will report to Ambba Kuthiala (pictured), general manager of Publicis Singapore, and work closely with the Publicis team in New York.

He will handle some duties of Thomas Sutton, the former group account director of Citibank at Publicis Singapore, who recently left the agency to join Leo Burnett Kreasindo in Jakarta as executive director of account management.
