Pizza Hut Malaysia embarks on US$650k ad spree

KUALA LUMPUR - QSR Brands, the franchisee for Pizza Hut in Malaysia and Singapore, has launched a RM$2 million (US$650,000) campaign from Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia.

Entitled ‘There’s beauty in getting together’ the campaign includes television, radio and press advertising, point-of-sale materials and ambience.

Commenting on the campaign, senior general manager, Ling Mee Jiuan said the company is aiming to position its restaurants as great spots for family and social gatherings.

Another new campaign is planned to coincide with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.

Senior general manager, Ling Mee Jiuan said that QSR Brands plans to open 20 new stores in Malaysia, adding to the 220 Pizza Huts already in the country, offering dine-in, takeaway, delivery and online ordering services.

She put set-up cost at around RM850,000 (US$ 277,000) per outlet.
