The appointment comes after a hotly contested pitch involving Semut Api, The Agency, 213, Publicis Indonesia, Fortuna Advertising and Teman Dekat, according to a spokesperson for TTM. Campaign Asia-Pacific could not verify the participants by press time.

“Based on the work received from the multi-agency pitch, we found The Thinking Machine’s ideation and planning effort, along with strong yet grounded team to be perfect fit for the job at hand,” said Muhamad Resa, assistant manager of brand communication at CRFM Pertamina. “We look forward to putting out some insightful and creative work that will spur consumer interest and affiliation towards our offerings.”

“Our task would be to create brand strategy and creative that will make Pertamina the most preferred brand in this category,” said Renilson Joseph, president director at TTM.
