Pepsi China calls media pitch

SHANGHAI - Pepsi China has invited three agencies to pitch for its media business including Mindshare, the incumbent agency on the account, OMD Shanghai, the incumbent agency for Pepsi's food account, and MEC.

Agencies presented their first-round credentials to Pepsi China on June 30.

“Pepsico China is conducting a media agency pitch for our food and beverage businesses for 2010 and onwards. It is our goal to work with the best-in-class partners to drive efficiency and maximise our media investments,” said Harry Hui, chief marketing officer of Pepsi China.

No details of the business scope have been discussed as yet. Agencies involved are awaiting details for the next round of the pitch.
