David Mayo, president of Ogilvy & Mather Southeast Asia, will assume the position of interim chief executive and will work with Aquino on a succession plan. “Randy has done an outstanding job delivering our five-year-plan, together with our management board," Mayo said. "The agency is in great shape and Randy will continue to play a role, starting by helping me to establish a successor.”

Aquino has been instrumental in establishing the group’s digital credentials as a centerpiece of the latest five-year plan, the agency said.

Paul Heath, chief executive officer of Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific, said, “Randy continues in his next chapter with our full support and blessing. We are very happy that he remains a part of our family and our culture and I thank him for what he has done for us over the past five years as he helps shape the next five.”

Aquino said, “It’s an exciting time for the industry and for Ogilvy. It is also an exciting time for me personally. At the board level I look forward to working closely with the new management team and helping them set the next five-year-plan for Ogilvy in The Philippines.”
