Nike ‘bleeds blue’ in India for the start of cricket season

Nike is showing its support for the coming world cricket event in India with a ‘Bleed blue’ digital campaign by AKQA Shanghai.

Nike ‘bleeds blue’ in India for the start of cricket season

Nike has created an interactive campaign linked with Facebook and Nikecricket.in in anticipation of the 2011 cricket season kicking off in India during February next year.

Registered fans are encouraged to create their own virtual blue handprint and set it as their Facebook profile photo for the duration of the sports season.

In addition to the online drive, Nike is also circulating a piece of fabric across India for people to add their handprint in support of the campaign. The Nike website is currently tracking the cloth and its mileage as it makes its way across India.

The color blue represents hope, dreams and aspirations.
