MS&L Group acquires 20:20 Media, 2020 Social in India

NEW DELHI – Publicis Groupe has announced a majority stake acquisition in Indian communications and technology public relations agencies 20:20 Media and 2020 Social.

20:20 Media and 2020 Social will integrated into the MS&L Group which currently also operates PR agency Hanmer MS&L in India. The three business entities will operate independently.

Glenn Osaki, Asia president of MS&L Group, will chair all three operations with Sunil Gautam and Jaideep Shergill continuing to represent Hanmer MS&L and Sunil Agarwal and Chetan Mahajan taking charge of 20:20 MEDIA and 2020 Social.

Collectively the three companies employ 550 people at 16 offices across the country.

Osaki said, "We will remain focused on investing in India in the years to come in order to best serve both global and Indian clients.”

20:20 Media was established in 1989 and won the India PR agency of the year at the Indy’s Awards 2009.

Social media consulting firm 2020 Social was established just last year to focus on strategy and advisory services for C-suite executives, marketers and PR directors.
