SYDNEY - HTC Corporation, the Taiwan-based manufacturer of smartphones, has added Moon Communications Group to its global creative agency roster in Australia.

Moon Communications picks up HTC global creative business in Australia

Moon Communications falls under STW Group, Australia’s largest advertising and marketing group. HTC made the decision to partner with Moon after a three-way pitch. Moon will work alongside with Fig Tree and Amp in the UK and Deutsch in the States. Deutsch is the agency behind the brand's 2009 campaign 'You are different from you’

The team at Moon comments, "As part of the creative development process, Moon will develop fully integrated campaign assets including digital and will work in partnership with HTC appointed digital agencies."

Moon has already begun work on projects for the China market. “Our entire agency loves the brand, so there is a great deal of energy and passion that comes with the work,” said Anouk Darling, chief executive at Moon.

Ivana Tsai, head of global marketing at HTC, said the brand and Moon share ‘common values’ following the presentation of the Sydney-based agency's strategic and creative work during the pitch process.

Reported in August, HTC appointed ZenithOptimedia and Digitas as its media and digital agency in China.
