Shiozaki has been with the agency since last year, when she signed on as business director. As well as the new general manager role, she will also be a representative director of MRM Worldwide in Japan.
Previously, she worked with Guthy Renker Japan, where she was marketing director, leading a portfolio of eight brands as well as the company's digital marketing division.
The agency says she brings a unique and diverse career background to the management role. In addition to leading accounts such as Gap and Moet Hennessy Diageo, she has also demonstrated strong leadership and worked closely with outgoing president Marc Kremer, it said.
Kremer has chosen to leave Japan to establish his own technology-based start-up business.
Michael McLaren, CEO and President of McCann Worldgroup Japan said, “I am confident that Miho, together with the MRM management team, will take MRM to the next level as part of (its) mission to provide innovative technology and data-driven marketing solutions that transform clients’ brands and grow their businesses.”
Shiozaki said she was "extremely enthused" about the promotion. "(I) am committed to continuing to strive towards our goal with my colleagues at MRM and across McCann Worldgroup to create and deliver innovative relationship solutions empowered by data analytics and technology," she said.
