MICA launches website to promote active citizenry

SINGAPORE - Singapore's Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) has launched a new site, developed by Convertium, to promote active citizenry and national pride.

MICA launches website to promote active citizenry
The MySingapore site was launched as an outlet for locals to band together and features user-generated content on what makes Singapore unique.
Web visitors are also encouraged to start citizen projects while daily polls, a blog, photo cum video gallery, and community forum helps give the local population a voice.

With a creative strategy to emphasise the Singaporean identity, Gerard Lim, MD of Convertium, called the site a “a far-sighted initiative” and added: “It’s good that the many patriotic Singaporeans, and friends of Singapore, get a permanent home online to share and support all things Singapore.”
